Brighter Futures

Through this program, Brighter Future Workers, NNADAP workers, Family Support Workers and Mental Health Workers work together with the community health nurses to improve the quality of and access to community directed mental health, child development, and injury prevention services (read more).

Some of the activities that these workers undertake in the schools, around the community and at the youth center are:

To provide culturally appropriate activities to school age children.

To support activities that encourage optimal health and social development of infants, toddlers and pre-school age children.

To provide education and information on parenting skills.

To provide education and information on: injury prevention, nutrition, dangers of alcohol and other drug use (including during pregnancy).
