Canada Aboriginal Prenatal Nutrition Program (CAPNP)

The goal of this program is to improve maternal and infant nutritional health. 
To this end, the community health nurse and family support worker will:

Provide screening and referrals to women who are at high nutritional risk to a dietician.

Promote and provide health snack and OLO coupons to supplement diet.

Support women who breastfeed through group and one-on-one sessions.

Provide educational activities and services that are culturally appropriate.

Provide nutrition education, educational tools and resources related to nutrition for pregnant women and women of child bearing age. Canada nutrition guide

Provide parents and caregivers with skills related to food preparation as well as knowledge regarding health eating.
