Water technicianWater technicianThe aim of this program, among other things, is to create and maintain healthy and safe community environments through the investigation of potential environmental health related outbreaks.  In addition, the EHP will promote and maintain good health by ensuring a high quality of water in community public and private residences by striving (read more).

The Environmental Health and Water Technicians work together to:

Provide water sampling and water quality analysis.

Educate the community through pamphlets and information sessions on signs and symptoms of water contamination.

Review plans and designs of community water and sewage systems and safe disposal of waste.

Refer community members to the appropriate health services when necessary.

Monitor the signs and symptoms of potential environmental health risks and make necessary recommendations to appropriate services.
